#1 Heated towel rails
Heated towel rails are the new item on the block and have gained increased popularity in recent years. They are designed to keep your towels soft, dry and warm. They also have the added benefit of saving you water and electricity. You might be surprised to learn that heated towel rails are a much more efficient option to keep your towels warm than running your hearing, radiator or clothes dryer.
#2 Infrared heat panels
Who else loves the feeling of having the sun sink into your face? It’s possible to mirror that experience in the bathroom, with infrared heat panels. They convert electricity into radiant heat, the most basic form of heating that is out there. Infrared is the direct transfer of heat from the heater to the object without heating the air. It’s 100% safe, energy-efficient and natural.
#3 Combination heat and exhaust Fans
We are sure you are familiar with the bulbous heat lamps in bathrooms that used to be a common sight back in the day? Nowadays, we are pleased to say there are much more attractive options.
The focus for combined heat and exhaust fan units is generally on ventilation operation. It is crucial for removing stale air and minimising condensation. But if your bathroom design does not allow for heated towel rails or panels, this is an ideal solution to combat a cold bathroom.
#4 Underfloor heating
Underfloor heating is not a luxury, but rather a necessity in countries like the UK or other European destinations. While not absolutely prudent here in Perth, it is worth considering this heating option if you live in a particularly cold locality or feel cold often.
An electric underfloor heating system provides an energy-efficient, on-demand heating system as well as interior design flexibility because it is ‘invisible’ in the finished bathroom decor (an added bonus!)
